I joined ER&DCI primarily as it was close to my home. It was a good start, the classes were good and we got labs handled by Scientists from different groups at CDAC. We were also alloted projects in different section at CDAC, some of the projects were part of actual design R&D being done at CDAC. The best part of it was my friends, they have changed me by a lot, I would go on further and say my batch was the most fun and achieving batch." |

"ER&DCI IT is one of a kind of campus that offers Post Graduate programme. It provides a high level of learning experience along with the support from the industry experts of CDAC in the area of specializations. We were first of the batch under the KTU , which had lot of experimentations in the syllabus and curriculum, but was all well handled by our faculties. Though it is not like any other professional college campus', we have opportunities to explore and be part of both the technical or cultural activities in CDAC along with our course. The placement support is well connected with the companies that offer job opportunities in the core area of specialization.

"I got the opportunity to do my MTech in Cyber Forensics and Information Security at CDAC, Trivandrum during 2019-2021 as part of the arrangement between Kerala Police and CDAC. These 2 years spent at CDAC were one of the best investments for me in terms of competency development across a wide array of domains such as cybercrime investigation, cyber forensics, information security etc. The skill sets acquired during the 2 year term proves to be extremely useful for me and to my department as we are in the process of enhancing the cybercrime investigation and prevention capabilities of state police force. Unlike the usual practice of being taught by academicians and researchers, the sessions at CDAC were handled by professionals and scientists who practise what is being taught day in and day out. The value they add from their real life experience is immense as they are able to relate the complex concepts to practical scenarios. Another unique advantage I saw with CDAC is the first hand exposure students get to a host of cyber security & forensic tools and technologies developed by CDAC. This spans across cyber forensics, biometrics, mobile and web security, Honey Net and the list continues. Getting practical exposure to these tools and being trained by the team which developed them is an experience which most other institutions cannot offer.
